Finally, I Got to Play

I've been working for a week and I definitely remember why I retired. Am so glad that retirement is my usual state now. Had to take a few days to finish things in my stamp room - actually just clearing a space on the desk so I could work. I am going to the lake later this week with one of my stamp groups so I had to get cards ready to demo. I also had to make a small hostess gift so I used this week's technique from Splitcoaststampers.com

The first image shows the 3 x 3 cards and tote I made. I used the Simple Friendship from Stamping up. Used Brilliance Blue cardstock and ink. Image was stamped on white. I made four cards and stamped the envelopes as well.

My daughter sent me some Flower Soft for Mother's Day so I just had to add to the colors that she sent me. LOL. I got the new floral set of Flower Soft. This first card is made with the SU Thoughts and Prayers set. I stamped the tree in basic brown on light blue cardstock and added the flower soft on the leaves and ground. I then used my nestabilites to cut out the image and matting. I ran the ivory cardstock though my cuttlebug and then rubbed my pretty in pink stamp pad lightly over the top. I stamped the "Thinking of You" (only half of the stamp) in basic brown on the small rectangle edged with Pretty and Pink ink. Ribbon is some I bought at the Great American Store, I think it is Mays Company ribbon - pink with green (I used the back side because it looked like green "x's")

This last card is a Hero Arts stamp - hydrangia. I stamped in stazon black on ivory cardstock, colored in leaves and stem with Garden green marker. Added the Delphelium Blue Flower Soft to the bloom. Matted with Wasbi Green and dark blue cardstock. The Ivory card was stamped with a very old stampin up stamp - Victorian Lace in bashful blue. I popped up the three images that were matted on the green. This card is 5" X 7".

Hope you enjoy this new posting.
